Facial paralysis

Facial paralysis, also known as facial nerve palsy, is the paralysis of facial muscles due to damage to the facial nerve. It is a common and frequently occurring disease that can affect people of all ages. Symptoms include difficulty closing eyes, frowning, puffing cheeks, baring teeth, and closing the mouth, as well as the corner of the mouth drooping to the unaffected side and a shallow nasolabial fold. It can affect one or both sides of the face.
