Multiple sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks the white matter of the central nervous system, causing demyelination and making it difficult for signals to transmit between the brain and the body. It primarily affects young and middle-aged adults, with a higher incidence in women than men, and manifests as limb weakness, paresthesia, and gait instability.
