Uveitis

The uvea, also known as the pigmented membrane, is named for its resemblance to a purple grape. It is the second layer of the eyeball wall and can be divided into three parts: the anterior iris, the middle ciliary body, and the posterior choroid. Uveitis is an inflammation of the uvea caused by various factors such as infection, immune response, or injury. It commonly affects young and middle-aged adults, presenting with symptoms such as red eyes, eye pain, blurred vision, and floaters.
