Amblyopia

Amblyopia is a functional decrease in vision in one eye (mostly unilateral) due to disuse or misuse of the eye during the critical period of visual development. The main symptoms are that the best corrected visual acuity in one or both eyes is lower than the visual acuity for the corresponding age, or the visual acuity difference between the two eyes is 2 lines or more. According to the etiology, amblyopia can be divided into: strabismic amblyopia, anisometropic amblyopia, refractive amblyopia, and form deprivation amblyopia. Normal vision reference According to the international standard visual acuity chart, the reference standards for visual acuity at different ages are as follows: 4 months: 0.02-0.04 5-6 months: 0.04-0.08 7-8 months: 0.1 1 year: mostly 0.2-0.3 2-3 years: 0.4-0.5 3-4 years: reaches 0.5-0.7 5-6 years: close to 0.8-1.0 After 6 years: reaches 1.0
