Hyperopia

Hyperopia refers to a refractive state where parallel light rays, after being refracted by a relaxed eye, focus behind the retina. It occurs when the refractive power of the eye is insufficient or the axial length of the eyeball is too short. It is common in people over 40 years old. Typically, hyperopic individuals have blurred vision for distant objects and even more blurred vision for near objects.
