Blepharitis

The eyelid, commonly known as the "eyelid skin," is a skin tissue located near the edge of the eyeball, divided into upper and lower eyelids. It covers the surface of the eyeball and plays a crucial protective role. Eyelid inflammation refers to an inflammatory reaction occurring on the eyelid margin, eyelash follicles, and their associated glands due to various causes. This condition is more prevalent in spring, and the incidence rate increases with younger age. Main symptoms include eye pain, itching, burning sensation, foreign body sensation, redness, dryness, photophobia, tearing, and excessive discharge.
