Nystagmus

Nystagmus is a condition characterized by regular, rhythmic, and uncontrolled oscillations of the eyeballs, caused by changes in the proprioceptors of the eye muscles due to congenital factors or acquired diseases. Nystagmus can also occur in normal individuals when fixating on moving targets (such as striped rotating cylinders or striped clothing). The main symptoms include regular, rhythmic, and uncontrolled oscillations of the eyeballs. Other possible symptoms include the perception of stationary objects in the external environment as moving, decreased vision, and a persistent head tilt to one side.
