Concomitant esotropia

Concomitant esotropia is a disorder of eye alignment. Patients with this condition cannot maintain consistent alignment of both eyes when looking at the same object, with one eye excessively deviating towards the nose, resulting in esotropia. The angle of deviation remains constant in all directions of gaze, hence the term "concomitant." This disease is common in children, with some cases even being congenital. Congenital esotropia accounts for 5.4% of all concomitant esotropia cases.
