Allergic conjunctivitis

The conjunctiva is a thin membrane covering the inner surface of the eyelids and the white part of the eyeball, protecting the eye. Allergic conjunctivitis, an inflammation of the conjunctiva caused by allergies, is the most common allergic eye disease. The main symptoms include itchy, watery, and red eyes.
