Inflammatory pseudotumor, also known as orbital inflammatory pseudotumor, is a common benign, idiopathic, inflammatory orbital disease. It can involve a single tissue or multiple tissues in the orbit simultaneously.
Inflammatory pseudotumor accounts for 7.1%-12.3% of orbital lesions. Most patients are adults, with a high incidence between 40 and 50 years of age. The onset is not related to gender, and it mostly affects one eye, with a few cases occurring in both eyes, and it is prone to recurrence.
