Xanthelasma palpebrarum

Xanthelasma palpebrarum, or xanthelasma for short, refers to yellow or orange plaques on the eyelids caused by lipid deposition. Apart from affecting aesthetics, it generally causes no other harm. This condition is more common in middle-aged and elderly individuals, with a higher incidence in women than in men. The main symptom is the appearance of flat or slightly raised yellow plaques or nodules on the eyelids.
