Dacryoadenitis

Dacryoadenitis is a general term for inflammatory diseases of the lacrimal gland tissue caused by various factors. It can be divided into two types: Acute dacryoadenitis: Less common, often occurring in one lacrimal gland. It is more common in children and adolescents. The main manifestations include fever, redness, swelling, and pain in the lacrimal gland area, tearing, or purulent discharge. Chronic dacryoadenitis: More common, often occurring in both lacrimal glands simultaneously. The disease develops slowly and is a slow proliferative inflammation characterized by a painless local mass.
