Choroidal osteoma

Choroidal osteoma is a benign tumor of the choroid, primarily composed of mature bone tissue. The choroid is a thin layer in the eye, located between the retina and the sclera. This condition is more common in women aged 20-30, and its etiology is still unclear. Most patients are asymptomatic. If the tumor is located near the macula, complications occur, or the tumor is large, symptoms such as decreased vision, metamorphopsia, and localized visual field defects may appear.
