Congenital lens malformation

Congenital lens malformations include congenital spherophakia, congenital lenticonus, congenital lens coloboma, and others. Congenital spherophakia: The lens is spherical, often accompanied by high myopia. Congenital lenticonus: Often unilateral, frequently associated with high myopia. Congenital lens coloboma: Typically presents as a notch-like defect in the inferior equatorial region of the lens, often with an absence of the corresponding zonular fibers. Main symptoms include abnormal lens shape, accompanied by blurred vision, decreased visual acuity, and amblyopia.
