Detailed description
Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJD) is a general term for a group of conditions affecting the temporomandibular joint and/or the masticatory muscle system, causing joint pain, clicking, and limited mouth opening.
It is common in adolescents and young adults, primarily presenting as abnormal mandibular movement, pain, clicking, and noises in the temporomandibular joint area.
