Soft Palate Paralysis

Palatal paralysis refers to a disease characterized by abnormal neuromuscular activity of the soft palate due to central or peripheral lesions, leading to impaired soft palate movement. Unilateral palatal paralysis is generally asymptomatic, while bilateral palatal paralysis presents with obvious symptoms, such as slurred speech, food regurgitation during swallowing, and restricted facial movement.
