A radicular cyst, also known as a periapical cyst, is an odontogenic jaw cyst that is a chronic lesion of chronic periapical periodontitis, developing from a periapical granuloma or chronic alveolar abscess.
In its early stages, this disease has no obvious symptoms. In later stages, it may present with tooth discoloration, recurrent gum abscesses, and gum swelling.
