Oral and maxillofacial hemangioma

Oral and maxillofacial hemangioma is a congenital benign vascular tumor or vascular malformation, commonly occurring in the head and neck. It is not contagious but has a certain hereditary component. This disease is common in infants and young children, with a slightly higher incidence in females than males. Based on the symptoms, it can be divided into three types, as follows: Capillary hemangioma: Abnormal red patches appear on the skin, differing from normal skin, varying in size, and with clear boundaries. Cavernous hemangioma: Characterized by blood sinuses of varying sizes, slow growth, and often difficult to detect. Racemose hemangioma: The tumor is visibly raised and can be observed with the naked eye, with interconnected shapes resembling beads or earthworms.
