Detailed description
Ameloblastoma is an odontogenic tumor (i.e., a tumor arising from tissues involved in tooth formation) that predominantly occurs in the mandible (accounting for approximately 80% of cases). It is a benign tumor.
This disease commonly affects young and middle-aged adults.
Early stages are usually asymptomatic. As the tumor grows and increases in size, it can lead to mandibular expansion, facial swelling, facial deformity, and functional impairment.
