Jaw fracture

Maxillofacial fracture is a general term for fractures of the maxilla or mandible caused by mechanical external forces (external factors) or internal etiologies (such as maxillofacial tumors). The main symptoms include local pain, swelling, and deformity. According to whether the fracture is exposed, maxillofacial fractures are often divided into open maxillofacial fractures and closed maxillofacial fractures.
