Detailed description
Oral dermoid or epidermoid cysts are cysts that occur in the oral cavity, lined with epithelium similar to the epidermis of the skin, and may contain skin appendage structures in the cyst wall. Those containing skin appendages are dermoid cysts, and those without skin appendages are epidermoid cysts.
This disease is common in children and young adults.
The main symptom is a slow-growing, relatively soft, and fluctuating dough-like mass in the oral cavity. Generally, there is no subjective discomfort.
