Ossifying fibroma

Ossifying fibroma is a benign tumor composed of fibrous connective tissue and bone tissue. It is more common in young people, with a higher incidence in females than males. Early stages are asymptomatic, but as the tumor grows, it can cause jaw swelling, facial deformity, and tooth displacement. Surgery is not recommended for young children; osteotomy and corrective surgery can be performed after the age of 10.
