Detailed description
Nasal bone fracture is one of the most common fractures in the human body. The nasal bone is wide and thin, making it susceptible to external forces and fractures. Nasal bone fractures can occur in isolation, or in severe cases, they can be accompanied by septal fractures, cartilage dislocation, fractures of the frontal process of the maxilla, sinuses, orbital walls, or skull base, leading to structural and functional abnormalities in the affected areas. The main symptoms include localized pain, epistaxis, nasal swelling, deviation of the nasal bridge, collapse and deformity of the nasal dorsum, and nasal obstruction. When orbital wall or skull base fractures are present, symptoms such as vision loss and cerebrospinal fluid leakage may occur.
