Detailed description
A nasal vestibular cyst is a unilocular, benign, non-odontogenic cyst that occurs under the skin of the nasal vestibule (at the base of the ala nasi, anterior to the piriform aperture) within the soft tissue overlying the maxillary alveolar process. Early stages are often asymptomatic. As the cyst grows, symptoms such as ipsilateral nasal obstruction and a palpable mass may develop. It is commonly seen in middle-aged women.
