Postnasal drip syndrome

Postnasal drip syndrome, also known as upper airway cough syndrome, is a clinical syndrome characterized by cough as the primary symptom, caused by nasal secretions flowing backward from the nasal cavity to the postnasal space, throat, and other areas due due to nasal lesions. This condition is mainly caused by rhinitis and sinusitis, and is primarily characterized by daytime cough, expectoration, a sensation of mucus adhering to the posterior pharynx, and a feeling of mucus dripping down the back of the nose.
