Detailed description
A paranasal sinus mucocele is the most common type of paranasal sinus cyst, predominantly unilateral, and most frequently occurs in the ethmoid sinus, followed by the frontal sinus.
The cyst grows slowly and generally presents with no obvious symptoms. However, an enlarging mucocele can cause symptoms such as headache, nasal discharge, orbital pain, and ptosis if it compresses the sinus wall bone.
