Laryngocele, also known as laryngeal aerocele or laryngeal diverticulum, is an abnormal, air-filled dilation of the laryngeal saccule (a normal blind pouch located anterosuperior to the laryngeal ventricle).
This condition has a low incidence and is more common in individuals with congenital abnormalities of the laryngeal saccule. Key symptoms include hoarseness, cough, pain, headache, and localized skin redness in the neck.
