Paraneoplastic syndrome

Paraneoplastic syndrome refers to endocrine, neurological, digestive, hematopoietic, musculoskeletal, renal, skin, and other lesions caused by abnormal autoimmune reactions to tumor products or other reasons, leading to corresponding clinical manifestations. It does not include symptoms resulting from direct spread, infiltration, compression, or metastasis of malignant tumors; nor does it include symptoms caused by radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or anticancer drug treatment for malignant tumors. Other conditions, such as opportunistic infections occurring in malignant tumor patients receiving long-term immunosuppressant therapy, or systemic metabolic disorders caused by malignant tumor invasion of an organ, are also not included in paraneoplastic syndrome.
