Androgenetic alopecia

Androgenetic alopecia, also known as seborrheic alopecia, is the most common type of hair loss clinically. It is hereditary and typically begins in adolescence or post-adolescence. The incidence of this disease varies by race, with the highest rates observed in Caucasians. It is most common in young men aged 20-30, but can also affect women. The prevalence in Chinese men is 21.3%.
