Postpartum depression

Postpartum depression is a type of depression that women experience after childbirth, which may be related to changes in hormone levels after delivery. Postpartum depression can occur within one year after childbirth, most commonly within 3 weeks after delivery. Symptoms include anxiety, doubt, guilt, fear, etc. In rare severe cases, there may be thoughts and actions of despair, running away from home, harming the child, or suicide.
