Internet addiction

Internet addiction refers to a mental and behavioral disorder characterized by repeated and excessive use of the internet, leading to a strong desire to reuse the internet, withdrawal symptoms when internet use is stopped or reduced, and may be accompanied by mental and physical symptoms. It typically refers to continuous internet use for non-work or non-study purposes for an average of 6 hours per day, for at least 3 consecutive months.
