Mental disorders due to a general medical condition

Mental disorders caused by physical diseases refer to acute or chronic mental symptoms triggered by certain primary physical diseases, such as anemia, lung diseases, and cardiovascular diseases. Approximately 44% of patients with physical diseases also suffer from mental disorders. Patients with mental disorders secondary to physical diseases, in addition to the manifestations of the primary disease, primarily exhibit mental symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and consciousness disorders.
