Cranial neuritis

Cranial nerves, also known as brain nerves, are peripheral nerves connected to the brain, totaling 12 pairs. These paired cranial nerves can transmit some sensory impulses to the brainstem and, according to brain commands, control the movement of head, facial, and visceral muscles and glandular secretions, playing a crucial bridging role. Cranial neuritis refers to lesions of multiple cranial nerves, either unilateral or bilateral, caused by various etiologies.
