Schilder's disease is a rare, sporadic demyelinating disease primarily seen in children. It was first reported by Schilder in 1912 as diffuse periaxial encephalitis, also known as diffuse periaxial encephalomyelitis or Schilder's disease.
It can cause cognitive impairment, aphasia, headache, hemiplegia, and other symptoms.
