Tonsillitis

Tonsillitis is an inflammation of the tonsils caused by various factors. It is a common upper respiratory tract infection, including acute and chronic non-specific inflammation. It manifests as varying degrees of inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa and lymphoid tissue. It is contagious during the acute phase. Tonsillitis has a high incidence and can occur at any age, but is more common in children and adolescents. It is a common and frequently occurring disease in pediatric otolaryngology and pediatrics. The disease is most likely to occur during temperature changes in spring and autumn, especially when the body's resistance is low.
