Toxic neuritis

Toxic neuritis refers to peripheral neuropathy caused by chemical toxins, which can manifest as mononeuritis or polyneuritis. Mononeuritis mainly presents with symptoms of single nerve damage, such as wrist drop, upper limb numbness, muscle atrophy, claw hand, and impaired dorsiflexion of the foot. Polyneuritis mainly presents with paresthesia such as needle pricks, crawling sensations, and electric shock. In severe cases, it can lead to ataxia and quadriplegia.
