Electroencephalogram

Electroencephalography (EEG) is a method of examining brain function by amplifying and displaying or recording the brain's spontaneous bioelectrical activity. EEG examinations typically involve attaching electrodes to the head or having the patient wear a cap fitted with electrodes to record the brain's electrical activity. It is a safe and non-invasive method for examining brain function that cannot be replaced by CT or MRI scans.
