Alcoholic liver disease

Alcoholic liver disease (ALD) is a chronic liver disease caused by long-term, excessive alcohol consumption. It progresses through several stages based on symptoms and severity: alcoholic fatty liver, alcoholic hepatitis, alcoholic liver fibrosis, and alcoholic cirrhosis. The main symptoms of this disease include abdominal and general discomfort, loss of appetite, fatigue, and in severe cases of liver damage, jaundice and generalized edema may occur.
