Detailed description
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a non-specific chronic inflammatory disease of the intestine, primarily including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Ulcerative colitis mainly affects the colon and rectum, while Crohn's disease can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to the anus, most commonly the terminal ileum and colon. IBD is prevalent in adolescents, and patients often experience symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloody stools, and weight loss.
