Intestinal tuberculosis

Intestinal tuberculosis is a chronic, specific infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis invading intestinal tissues. The vast majority of cases are secondary to pulmonary tuberculosis and can occur in any part of the intestine, with the ileocecal region being the most common site. This disease is more common in young and middle-aged adults, with a slightly higher incidence in females than in males. The main symptoms include irregular abdominal pain, alternating diarrhea and constipation, etc.
