Pheochromocytoma

Pheochromocytoma is a tumor that grows in the adrenal medulla or extra-adrenal chromaffin tissue. It can secrete epinephrine, norepinephrine, and dopamine, which are collectively known as catecholamines. It can be detected in people of all ages, but is more common in young and middle-aged adults aged 20-50 years, presenting with symptoms such as hypertension, headache, palpitations, and sweating.
