Bronchitis is an inflammation of the tracheal mucosa and surrounding tissues caused by various factors, primarily characterized by cough and sputum production. This condition often occurs during cold seasons or when there are sudden changes in climate. Young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems are more susceptible. The vast majority of bronchitis cases are not contagious.
