Tracheal tumor

Tracheal tumor refers to a tumor that occurs below the cricoid cartilage and above the tracheal carina. It is a rare disease of the respiratory system. It is more common in adults, with about 90% being malignant, mostly low-to-moderate malignancy, and is highly prone to misdiagnosis. Approximately 90% of tracheal tumors in children are benign. The main symptoms of tracheal tumors include irritating cough, sputum production, wheezing, chest tightness after activity, shortness of breath, and blood-tinged sputum.
