Detailed description
Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare, progressive, multi-system tumor disease.
It has an extremely low incidence, approximately 1 in a million, and almost exclusively affects women, particularly those of childbearing age, with an average age at diagnosis of around 40 years.
It primarily affects the lungs, typically presenting as diffuse cystic changes, severely impacting lung function. Currently, there is a lack of effective treatment methods.
