Pulmonary fibrosis

Pulmonary fibrosis is the end-stage lung change of interstitial lung disease, characterized by fibroblast proliferation, massive extracellular matrix deposition, and destruction of lung tissue structure, caused by various factors. The etiology of pulmonary fibrosis is complex, and most causes are unknown. A few cases may be related to environmental factors, drugs, or other diseases. The main symptom of pulmonary fibrosis is dyspnea, often accompanied by a dry cough.
