Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia

Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia, also known as prolonged pulmonary eosinophilic infiltration, or chronic granulocytic pneumonia, is a group of lung diseases characterized by an increase in eosinophils in the blood or tissues. The majority of cases of this disease occur in Caucasians, predominantly affecting women, with a high incidence between 30 and 40 years of age. The etiology of this disease is unknown, and the main symptoms include cough, fever, night sweats, weight loss, and fatigue.
