Pulmonary candidiasis

Pulmonary candidiasis is an acute, subacute, or chronic lower respiratory tract fungal infection caused by Candida albicans or other Candida species. This disease is common in individuals with dysbiosis due to long-term antibiotic use and those with weakened immune function, such as cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy, organ transplant recipients on long-term immunosuppressants, AIDS patients, and diabetic patients. The clinical manifestations of pulmonary candidiasis are non-specific.
