Pediatric IgA nephropathy, also known as pediatric immunoglobulin A nephropathy, refers to a group of glomerular diseases characterized by mesangial proliferation and significant diffuse immunoglobulin A deposition in the mesangial area.
This disease is more common in children, with a higher incidence in males than in females. Clinical manifestations are diverse and vary in severity. There is often a history of upper respiratory tract infection before onset, followed by gross hematuria and tonsil enlargement within a few hours, which are the most typical and main symptoms in the early stage of this disease.
