Primary cutaneous amyloidosis refers to the abnormal deposition of amyloid protein in the skin, leading to localized rashes, plaques, and thickening, as well as changes in skin color due to hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation.
This disease is common in the Middle East, Asia, and Central and South America. The most common symptom is purple or dark brown rashes on the limbs or back.
