Acute myeloid leukemia

Leukemia is a malignant tumor of the hematopoietic system. Leukemic cells proliferate uncontrollably in the bone marrow, gradually replacing normal hematopoiesis, which prevents red blood cells, white blood cells, and other blood cells from being produced and functioning properly. Medically, leukemia with low cell differentiation and rapid disease progression is referred to as acute leukemia. Acute leukemia can be further classified into acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) based on cell type. Acute myeloid leukemia (AML), also known as acute granulocytic leukemia, is a clonal proliferative disorder of non-lymphoid hematopoietic cells originating from the bone marrow. It is the most common type of leukemia. The main symptoms include anemia, fever, and bleeding.
